This is the name of Jenean Morrison’s new line of fabric for Free Spirit. Her just released collection is not only entirely gorgeous, but I got to know about her through Blythe! Let me tell you the whole story!
It all started with a fashion designer for Blythe that we know well and love for her talent and sweetness: Julie, aka Valentine Westphal, who heads House of Pinku. Julie made a lovely dress from one of Jenean’s previous fabrics last summer. Jenean found the picture of that dress on Flickr, and fell in love with Blythe and House of Pinku dresses at the same time! She then bought two Blythe dolls and commissioned Julie to sew dresses in the new prints. Each of the prints and dresses (a dress from every fabric in the line) is named after a different city from California. Jenean knew nothing about Blythe before she saw Julie’s dresses and she is now a Blythe fan forever.
All photos: Joel T. Rose. All dresses: House of Pinku.
I discovered all this through a previous post that I published in August! No need to mention that I love the fabrics designed by Jenean, dresses from Julie and this fantastic story of collaboration around Blythe between 2 fabulous designers!
