For what it is worth, I did also have a not-so-positive experience with SquirrelJunkie well after this interview. My girls were gone for 5 months, and came back with very poor work done. I did finally have to plead with her husband to simply get my dolls back. This was after paying a substantial sum of money and several items in trade.

I am aware she was very ill at this point, but nonetheless, 5 months is a long time for what was essentially simple work (at least on 2 of the dolls). One doll was there just for a boggle (which, oddly, she didn’t get…She has sleep eyes now though?).

I didn’t want to bring this up, but my experience and Lizzies’ (from the BDD) have a lot of parallels. I know she is telling the truth. After all, it’s very close to what happened with my dolls.

I am glad she is feeling better and she seems to be gearing up to doing restorations and customs again…I hope that the past two (I know very miserable) years are behind her now and I’ll be happy to see her turning out cute customs and rescuing neglected Kenners.

@Pat: Kenner parts can be purchased either on eBay or Blythe Kingdom or This Is Blythe. Both are private forums. If you would like to sell your doll, you should also post on these forums or the Bay and I am sure you will find a buyer. Kenners are always sought after!
@Felicia: The interview has been done one year ago and way before the BDD happened.

I do believe that she seems to have her stuff together! I do not believe the bad dollie deals story. I’m sure they looked at her background before ever considering of doing an interview on her. Some people just like to be negative because they are jealous. I love my Simply Guava girl and this just excites me to know that a 33 year old feels the exact same way!

Please remember to check Bad Dolly Deals before sending SJ anything. She is in the habit of taking on work that she cannot complete, she will refuse to answer any PMs, FMs and email and in one case held onto someone’s property for 15 months with NO contact and never completed the work.

She still is in possession of several dolls and in one case, quite a big chunk of money.
